Debbie Johnson, from Woodside, was feeling unwell when she went to call her husband John at Telford Shopping Centre where he is a security guard.
But she never managed to hit the final dial button before she fell to the floor unconscious. Luckily her daughter Skye remained calm, despite her two younger siblings becoming quite distressed, and she made her way to the landline with the mobile phone and copied the number to phone her father at work.
Skye got through to her father's colleague John Rowlinson, known as Big John, who talked her through the drama, including some basic first aid while other staff searched for her father.
Debbie, who is awaiting the results of hospital tests, said she was proud of her daughter and very grateful to Mr Rowlinson.
"Skye was wonderful. All I can remember is punching in the number and then the next thing it was chaos as John came screaming through the back door from work and the ambulance arriving," said Debbie.
"We were very lucky that she got through to Big John because he handled the situation so well."
