Popular village pub in surprise announcement after closure earlier this month
Good news for punters!
A popular village pub has made a surprise announcement after it closed earlier this month.
The Bridge Inn at Chirk Bank closed last week after its previous landlord cited rising costs - but a fresh announcement has revealed that the closure will not be for long.
A post on Chirk Bank pub’s social media account confirmed it will be re-opening before the end of the month.

It said: “The wait is over! We are absolutely thrilled to announce that The Bridge Inn is officially reopening its doors on Wednesday, 29/04/26! And we can’t wait to see both familiar faces and new ones at the bar.”
The post also reveals the return of some old favourite entertainment - the quiz night.
It said: “Our quiz night continues, with a slight adjustment in the schedule. Join us from 7pm to 9pm. We’ve shifted times to ensure we prioritise everyone’s safety and stay fully compliant with our licensing regulations - we appreciate your understanding!
“Stay tuned for more updates on our full opening hours and some very exciting things we have in the works.
“We can’t wait to have you back home.”
