Whitchurch man, 52, who damaged car ordered to pay thousands in compensation

A man who caused thousands of pounds worth of damage to a car has been ordered to pay a hefty compensation bill.
Christopher Young, aged 52, damaged an MG HS Trophy in Whitchurch on March 20 this year, causing damage worth £3,000 and £4,000.
Young, of Matthew Henry Court, Whitchurch, pleaded guilty at Telford Magistrates Court to criminal damage.
Magistrates ordered Young to pay £2,400 in compensation. It was agreed he will pay it off at the rate of £100 per month.
No further orders for costs were made.
