Polar Express back in Birmingham for Christmas fun - full details and how to book

Families and festive film fans can look forward to an enchanting Christmas adventure this winter as The Polar Express Train Ride returns to Birmingham Moor Street Station for a memorable steam-hauled journey filled with seasonal magic.

Departing on selected dates in November and December 2026, the experience invites passengers into cosy, lantern-lit carriages, where the world of the classic Christmas tale unfolds through memorable scenes as the steam train journeys towards the North Pole.

Passengers are encouraged to arrive in their pyjamas and step straight into the adventure as the story comes to life around them. Excitement builds on the platform as families wait to board The Polar Express, before the journey continues with dancing chefs, the conductor’s famous golden-ticket punch and the first gift of Christmas from Father Christmas: a silver sleigh bell for those who believe.

Visitors can register on the website now to receive a priority booking link on Friday, 31 July 2026, ahead of the general sale on Saturday, 1 August 2026.

Prices start from £56 for Classic tickets and £71 for First Class, depending on the date and time of travel.

Flexible payment options are also available, allowing families to book early and spread the cost over three months at no extra charge.

Visitors can also choose from a range of convenient parking options nearby.

With popular departures expected to sell out quickly, early booking is recommended.
