West Mercia Police and Crime Commissioner John Campion will be guest speaker at Oswestry's annual town meeting on April 18 at the Guildhall, starting at 7pm.

Mr Campion is expected to give an overview of policing across Shropshire and answer questions from those at the public meeting.

Also speaking will be Inspector Tracy Ryan, who will talk about policing in Oswestry.

The meeting, hosted by Oswestry Town Council, is the chance for electors to bring up matters for consideration.

There will be a chance to hear from a number of local organisations, including Catherine Wilks who will talk about the Smashing Stigma project, Lucy Evans from Footfall and Mandy Price of Do it for David.

Mayor Councillor Vince Hunt will also present the town council's annual report.
