'We have some difficult news to share': U-turn on village pub's re-opening announcement
The pub has apologised for the change in plan.
A pub which announced plans to reopen has said the move is now on hold.
Earlier this week The Bridge Inn at Chirk Bank, which closed earlier this month said that it would be re-opening on Wednesday, April 29.
But now, the pub has posted a fresh update, revealing that it will now not be opening again this month.
The update offers no clear date or timeline for re-opening.
It said: “To all our valued guests, we have some difficult news to share. Despite our best efforts and previous advertisements, we will no longer be opening this Wednesday as planned.
“Due to a sudden reversal of an internal decision, we must keep our doors closed for a little longer. We feel important to be honest with you, and we sincerely apologise for the “start-stop” nature of this update and any disappointment it causes.
“While things haven’t gone quite as expected this week, we remain optimistic and you never know what the future holds.
“We hope to be able to share more positive news with all very soon.
“Thank you for your continued patience and understanding.”
