23 Shropshire businesses get new food hygiene ratings - including Telford pub which plans to open chippy

New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to 23 Shropshire establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

A new batch of food hygiene ratings has been released, showing how cafes, restaurants and other food businesses across the area scored after their most recent inspections.

Food hygiene ratings between 0 and 5 (0 being poor and 5 being the best) are awarded by the FSA following inspections.

The businesses to receive new ratings include the Elizabethan in Woodside, a pub that's planning the opening of a new on-site fish and chip takeaway.

Restaurants, takeaways and any other establishments that sell food are expected to display the rating in their window where customers can see.

The latest ratings for Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin are listed below:
