Who will be your Shropshire Star Baby of the Year?

Last month more than 600 babies and toddlers were snapped by our official photographer at the Darwin Centre, Shrewsbury and Telford Shopping Centre, and now it’s up to you to vote for your favourites.

They're all in the special supplement printed in today's Shropshire Star.

The children have been split into four age categories, 0-9 months, 10-18 months, 19-35 months and 3-5 years and it’s you who decides who wins by casting your votes.

The youngster in each category with the most votes will receive £500 and the overall winner will boost their prize with an extra £250.

You can see all of the babies here.

How to vote

Simply choose your favourite from the photographs printed in the supplement and cut out the special vote tokens which will be printed each day until Saturday, July 21.

The first one, worth 10 votes, is printed in today's paper – make sure you look out for more bumper tokens over the voting period!

Then complete a Voting Tokens Return Form, quoting the child’s name, age category and unique voting code number.

Don’t worry if you need more forms, we will be printing one each Saturday during the voting period or you can download one from www.baby.shrosphirestar.com

You may, if you wish vote for more than one child. Just indicate how many tokens you want to allocate to each one (up to a maximum of five children per form).

If you wish, you can send in your vote tokens in batches or all together in one envelope after the last one has been printed, but you must include a Voting Tokens Return Form each time you send them in.

Vote tokens sent in without a form will not be counted.

Tokens will appear in the Shropshire Star until Saturday, July 21.

We will also accept votes by SMS from July 9 – make sure you pick up your copy of your Shropshire Star for full details on how to vote by text.

Send the form, along with your tokens to: Circulation Department, Shropshire Star, Waterloo Road, Ketley, Telford TF1 5DT

When will the winners be announced?

As soon as we receive your tokens they will be counted and verified to identify the winner in each age bracket.

The winners will then be announced in the Shropshire Star and on the newspaper website week commencing August 6.
