Mercedes-AMG bids farewell to A45 with Final Edition

Performance hatchback retains its powerful four-cylinder engine.
Mercedes-AMG is calling time on its performance A45 with a run-out Final Edition model.
Launched in 2022, the latest-generation A45 broke new ground in terms of performance, with much of this centred around its engine which arrived as the most powerful four-cylinder ever put into series production.
The new Final Edition car brings a ‘mountain grey’ exterior paint with chrome door handles, finished with matte black 19-inch forged alloy wheels with a cross-spoke design. The yellow AMG logos on the centre caps are unique to the Final Edition, too.

The whole car also gets the Mercedes ‘Night Package’ which adds dark chrome-plated tailpipe trims, alongside a full aerodynamic package with a larger front apron with a bigger splitter, a roof spoiler in high-gloss black and a large diffuser blade at the rear.
Inside, there’s a combination of man-made leather and microfibre cloth in black with yellow contrast stitching. There’s a ‘Final Edition’ emblem on the centre console, too, while further details bespoke to the model include a performance steering wheel trimmed in nappa leather and microfibre, alongside black AMG door sill panels with a yellow illuminated logo.

Underneath, the Final Edition retains the A45’s 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine which produces 421bhp and drives all four wheels through the Mercedes 4Matic all-wheel-drive system. Thanks to this and a quick-shifting eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, the A45 can go from 0-60mph in 3.6 seconds and onwards to a limited top speed of 168mph.
The Mercedes-AMG A45 Final Edition is available to order now with prices starting from £67,965.
