The Hill Ford Stages Rally will take place at the estate on Saturday, September 19, following a ceremonial start in Shrewsbury.

Drivers from across the country will tackle four stages within the Weston Park grounds, including the popular Weston Park Water Splash.

A number of titles will be up for grabs, including the Protyre Motorsport UK Asphalt Rally Championship.

The event's opening day will also feature a Rally Festival, with entertainment and activities for visitors alongside the racing.

PATHWAYS – Discover Motorsport will highlight careers in the industry, with support from Harper Adams University, Shrewsbury Colleges Group and industry partners.

The DriveWise Zone will also demonstrate how motorsport can help promote safer driving, while local businesses, independent traders, charities and suppliers will be at the event.

Rebecca Alexander, head of estate operations at Weston Park, said: “This event will bring together top-level motorsport, family entertainment, education and local businesses and we’re really looking forward to it. It should be a top-class day out for all.”

Organisers are also offering trade stand pitches in exchange for a nominal contribution to their marshal and official thank-you initiative.

Dan Lister, clerk of the course, said: “Without our marshals and officials there simply wouldn't be a rally. They are the first to arrive, the last to leave, and they give up their weekends to help deliver a safe, enjoyable event for everyone.”

He added that the event aimed to bring businesses, families and motorsport fans together and could grow into an annual event for Shropshire.

Tickets cost £10 in advance or £15 on the gate.

Weston Park tickets and information and trade stand information are available online.
