Shrewsbury firm appeals for Christmas shoebox donations for children
People are being invited to fill shoeboxes with gifts and essentials for children overseas, with donations welcome until November 20
A Shropshire law firm is inviting people to donate shoeboxes filled with gifts for children overseas as part of an annual Christmas appeal.

Lanyon Bowdler is once again supporting the Teams4U Christmas Shoebox Appeal, with its Shrewsbury office in Abbey Foregate serving as a collection point for donations from the public.
The firm is encouraging people to fill shoeboxes with everyday essentials, small toys and other gifts for children facing poverty and difficult circumstances.
Suggested items include toothbrushes, toothpaste, hairbrushes, soap, stationery, hats, gloves, scarves, soft toys, puzzles and small games.
Boxes can be prepared for boys or girls in three age groups: three to five, six to 11, and 12 and over.
Donations must be dropped off at Lanyon Bowdler's Shrewsbury office by November 20.
Natasha Gibbons, a senior associate in the firm's clinical negligence department, said the appeal had received generous support from the community over the years.
She said: “Putting together a shoebox is such a simple thing to do, but for a child who may have very little, receiving a box filled with gifts and useful everyday items can mean an enormous amount.
“We are really pleased to be able to offer our Shrewsbury office as a collection point again this year, making it easier for people in the local community to get involved.”
Teams4U is a charity based in North Wales which works with partners overseas to support children and families experiencing poverty.
Anyone wishing to take part should find an empty shoebox, wrap it in Christmas paper and fill it with suitable gifts.
