The Remembrance Sunday parade will take place on November 8, setting off from Ludlow Castle before joining the Mayor, town councillors, the Lord Lieutenant of Shropshire and residents at the Peace Memorial.

The Act of Remembrance will include a two-minute silence, the Last Post and the laying of wreaths by veterans’ organisations, civic representatives, uniformed groups and local schools.

The morning will continue with a Remembrance Service at St Laurence’s Church.

Road closures will be in place from 10.30am to 12.30pm to ensure the safety of those taking part and spectators.

This year's commemorations will also remember Danny Mason, a much-loved Second World War veteran who attended Ludlow's Remembrance events for many years.

Ludlow Town Council said his presence and contribution had been greatly valued by the community, and his memory would be honoured with gratitude.

On Armistice Day, Wednesday, November 11, a two-minute silence will be held at the Peace Memorial at 11am.

The Lamp Light of Peace will also be lit and its flag raised at the Buttercross, symbolising hope and unity.

Further details about timings, road closures and accessibility arrangements will be shared on Ludlow Town Council's social media channels.
