Garden fair to return to Dorothy Clive Gardens this Bank Holiday
Specialist plant nurseries and artisan stalls will be among the attractions at the two-day event near Market Drayton
Garden lovers are being invited to the Dorothy Clive Gardens this August Bank Holiday for the return of one of the region's best-known plant fairs.

The two-day event will take place on Sunday, August 30, and Monday, August 31, bringing together specialist plant nurseries and artisan traders from across the country.
Organised by Plant Hunters' Fairs, the event will be held in the 12-acre gardens, with visitors able to browse thousands of plants, including perennials, shrubs, alpines, clematis, wildflowers, grasses and house plants.

Nursery experts will also be on hand throughout the weekend to offer advice on choosing and caring for plants.
Martin Blow, organiser of Plant Hunters' Fairs, said the event would be the 19th held at the gardens.

He said: "If you haven't been to the garden before, you're in for a real treat. In late summer, the herbaceous borders are aflame with colour, while the display glasshouse always offers a touch of the tropics.
"The event brings together some of the best independent plant nurseries from near and far, giving visitors plenty of inspiration for their own gardens."

Alongside the plants, there will also be a selection of garden accessories and decorative items available to buy.
The event is a fundraising weekend for the Willoughbridge Garden Charitable Trust, which maintains the Dorothy Clive Gardens.

Visitors will also be able to explore the gardens, with admission for both the gardens and plant fair reduced to £5 for the Bank Holiday weekend.
The fair will be open from 10am to 5pm on both days. Dogs on leads are welcome, and the tearoom will be serving refreshments throughout the event.
