Chocolate Festival of Wales returns to Mid Wales this weekend
Chocolate lovers can enjoy a market, family activities and wellbeing sessions as the festival returns to Llanidloes
The Chocolate Festival of Wales is returning to Llanidloes this weekend, with a programme of chocolate-themed activities taking place across the Powys town.

The festival, known in Welsh as Gŵyl Siocled Cymru, begins at 10am on Saturday, October 24, with events and activities taking place at venues throughout the town.
One of the main attractions will be the indoor Chocolate Market at Minerva Arts Centre, which will welcome 10 chocolate companies from across Wales.

The market will also feature a gallery of chocolate haiku, with visitors invited to try writing their own. Nearby, a hot chocolate pop-up run by Calm Cocoa will offer visitors a chance to warm up.
A range of free activities will take place at other venues, including Choc Chats conversation sessions at the Hanging Gardens event space and a sustainable chocolate cookery drop-in at Bethel Street Community Kitchen, showcasing ways to reduce food waste.
Families can also enjoy an afternoon screening of Wonka, while a chocolate bake sale at Bethel Street Market will raise money for the Additional Needs Cafe.

Wellbeing activities centred on cacao will also take place during the afternoon, with sessions ranging from mindful movement to meditation.
Businesses across Llanidloes are joining in with special dishes, chocolate bakes, festival window displays, fundraising activities and chocolate-themed cocktails.
Dedicated free festival parking will be available at Kennel Fields on Penygreen Road.
