Vintage vehicles, a thresher and a Punch and Judy show – Hundred House Show will have it all
A Radnorshire show which has been running since the 1950's returns this weekend with traditional favourites and new attractions.
Hundred House Show will be held at Lower Llaneon Farm in Franksbridge on Saturday, September 5, by kind permission of Mr Stephen Williams, and Gareth and Anna Nixon.

Highlights at this year's event will include a fine display of vintage vehicles, with this year being extra special as organisers says they are fortunate once again to have a threshing machine demonstration of bygone years when every farm grew wheat which was threshed into corn for animal feed or for making bread,
Children will be well cared for as well with a Punch and Judy show. New for 2025 was some outdoor games and activities alongside the usual craft tent and that area is likely to be popular again with the possibility of some new activities.

There will also be Revvi Races, children's electric bike races starting at 4pm with registration from 3pm. All electric bikes will be welcome, helmets must be workk and medals will be given to all competitors. The cost will be £5 for two races and the event is organised by Edw Valley Young Farmers Club with all proceeds going to charity.
The show will have horse and pony classes, a dog show, a pet show, sheep classes, children sports, show jumping and shearing competitions.
The dog show will have pedigree and novelty classes and the horticultural section will have classes for all including children's competitions, vegetables, flowers, cookery, children's cookery, preserves and produce, farm produce, a young person's section, and a special open section with photography, limericks, a favourite Christmas tree decoration, a front cover for the 2027 show schedule, a handmade card for a baby, a handmade cushion cover and a picture of your own choice.

The winners of the Hundred House garden competitions with a best kept garden, best vegetable plot, best planted container and a children's category, will be announced at the show.
The Hundred House and District Improvement Society was formed in the late 19th century with the aim of improving standards of land and animal husbandry. The show itself has been running since the 1950's.
Admission is £6 for adults over 16 and free for under 16's.
