New play inspired by the life of a little known Welsh actress is coming Builth Wells
A play inspired by the life of a little known Welsh actress will be coming to Builth Wells.
Grip of Life will be on the stage at the Wyeside Arts Centre on Friday, September 25 at 7.30pm.
What is it to be a woman in mid-life?
If anyone has worked this out, could they please tell Eleanor and Sophie so they can get out of this creepy little room?
Join the most famous Welsh actress you’ve probably never heard of and the least famous Welsh actress working today as they try to figure it out, with almost 100 years of history to separate them.
Noni Lewis' new play, directed by Matthew Holmquist, is inspired by the life of little known Welsh stage and film actress Eleanor Daniels.
Despite being from different times, Eleanor and Sophie share touching, humorous stories of imposter syndrome, the fear and apathy of mid-life, the emotional realities of the perimenopause, the impact of grief, guilt, reincarnation and the ‘why’ of life.
It is a co-production with The Riverfront Theatre, Newport and it is supported by Arts Council Wales and Theatrau Sîr Gar
The play contains references to death and grief.
Tickets are £15, the Gen Z ticket price is £5 and all tickets are subject to a £1 admin fee.
