On the Monday the Mid Wales bowlers travelled to Banister Park Indoor Bowls Club, the biggest club in Hampshire, and lost by 158 shots to 103 against some strong opposition.
On the Wednesday, the tourists played at Preston Indoor Bowls Club near Brighton, losing by 90 shots to 77 - it proved to be their narrowest margin defeat of the week.
Arun Indoor Bowling Club gained some revenge on Llandrindod Wells for last year’s defeat as Wells went down to a 154-49 reverse.
A fortnight after returning from Bognor Regis, the Llandrindod & Friends bowlers - who also included members of some other Powys clubs - played their annual friendly challenge match against the Radnorshire Indoor Stadium team, and the result was a win for the hosts by 81 shots to 39.
Following the afternoon game tour organiser £340 was presented to each of the club’s chosen charities - Ken Price to Hope House Children’s Hospice and Ann Edwards to The Bracken Trust.
The representatives of both charities, Bill Morgan for Hope House and Lisa Griffiths, chief executive of The Bracken Trust and Pam Morris, thanked the Mid Wales bowlers for their contributions.
