The supporters’ trust has offered a warm welcome to the new Wolves head coach.
The Wolves 1877 Trust has offered a warm welcome to Cesar Peixoto after he was confirmed as the club’s new head coach.
Peixoto was announced as Rob Edwards’ successor on Sunday (June 15), signing a two-year deal subject to a work permit.
He arrives with the task of guiding Wolves back to the Premier League following their relegation to the Championship.
The Wolves 1877 Trust says supporters will give Peixoto and his staff the backing they need to “settle and succeed”.
Chairman Keith Bickley said: “On behalf of our members and supporters everywhere, I want to wish Cesar every success at our football club.
“He can be certain of one thing - Wolves fans are second to none in their loyalty and passion and we will give his team loud backing.
“We look forward to welcoming him to Molineux and getting behind the team next season.”
Peixoto arrives after recently guiding Portuguese side Gil Vicente to a sixth-place finish in the Primeira Liga.
In his first interview as head coach, the 46-year-old vowed to build a team supporters can be proud of and “do everything” possible to return Wolves to the top flight.
