Saints have won their last 13 games in all competitions, most recently last Friday night when midfielder Williams grabbed a late winner to seal a 2-1 victory at Airbus UK Broughton in the second round of the Welsh Cup.

Asked about how confident TNS are at the moment, Williams, who joined Saints from Swansea City, said: "Yes, very confident. We've obviously scored a lot of goals the last couple of weeks, six at Holywell, nine against Cambrian.

"Maybe not as many on Friday night, but, yes, the confidence is really high."

Saints resume their league campaign this evening six points clear as table-toppers as they face an improving Ammanford side.

Newly-promoted to the top-flight, Ammanford have won their last two league games against Holywell Town and Cambrian United and are currently 13th in the 16-club top division.

Williams, meanwhile, admitted he was relieved after Saints were pushed all the way by Airbus before eventually winning through last Friday's Welsh Cup tie.

The Park Hall club will now host Briton Ferry Llansawel in another all Cymru Premier clash in the third round of the competition next month.

"We knew what it would have meant to not win, so just happy to be through and in the hat for the next round," said Williams.

Having made an early exit at the third round stage of the Welsh Cup last season, Williams and his team mates want to do much better this time.

He added: "I've been lucky enough to play in three finals in my first three years here, so it was a bit weird come the end of the season last year not having a final to look forward to, which is definitely something that I want to achieve this year, and I know the boys in the team do as well."
