Shrewsbury Town welcome Joe Gbode as seventh summer signing
The 21-year-old has become the latest addition during Town’s summer re-build.
Shrewsbury Town have completed the season-long loan signing of Joe Gbode from Luton Town.
The 21-year-old becomes Salop’s seventh signing of the summer, arriving from the League One club after spending the second half of last season on loan at National League side Woking.

Gbode follows the recent arrivals of midfielders Jack Price and Jay Turner-Cooke at the Croud Meadow.
He came through the academy at Gillingham after joining the club at the age of 15, earning a move to the Hatters last September.
During his loan spell at Woking, Gbode scored three goals in 15 appearances and will now be aiming to make an early impression during Shrewsbury’s pre-season campaign.
The 2024/25 season proved to be his breakthrough year at Gillingham. He signed a new contract in September 2024, keeping him at the club until the summer of 2027, with the option of a further year.
Gbode went on to make 34 League Two appearances that season, scoring three goals, before adding four more outings at the start of last campaign ahead of his move to Luton.
