Shrewsbury Town rule out Jon Taylor appeal
Manager Graham Turner today revealed Shrewsbury will not appeal Jon Taylor's sending off against Wolves.
Taylor was given his marching orders six minutes from the end of the League One clash after referee Phil Gibbs deemed he handled Matt Doherty's goalbound header on the goal line.

Wolves won the match 1-0 with Bakary Sako tucking away the resulting penalty.
But Turner will accept the player's one-match ban, although he revealed midfielder Taylor would likely have been touch and go for this week's trip to Bradford anyway because of an ankle injury sustained against Kenny Jackett's side.
He said: "I think the prospects were that he was going to be injured anyway. The tackle on him (from David Davis) was a bit naughty so he was unlikely to have been fit for Saturday anyway.
"But that wouldn't have made any difference to an appeal. If we had felt there was conclusive evidence we would appeal.
"It's one of those difficult ones and an appeal for hand ball I couldn't see a commission doing anything other than backing the referee because if the sending off had been rescinded what they are saying is that the penalty should never have been given in the first place.
"I think it's one of those difficult ones we've just decided to leave."
Meanwhile Turner praised the club's youth team following last night's nail-biting Midland Youth Cup victory against Port Vale.
Town went through 3-1 on penalties after the match had finished 1-1 after extra-time.
Kaiman Anderson scored Shrewsbury's goal in the first half of extra-time but they were quickly pegged back.
Sam Molyneux, Anderson and Josh Ginnelly scored the decisive penalties while goalkeeper Shaun Rowley made two saves.
And Turner said: "I'm pleased for them, a number of them have been playing in our reserves.
"I watched the reserves playing against Tranmere last week and some of the youngsters coming out of the youth team into the reserves have done extremely well, so it's pleasing to see.
"It's encouraging for everybody when you go and get results like the one against Port Vale."
