Ex-Shrewsbury Town midfielder Nick Freeman joins League Two rivals
Nick Freeman has completed a move to Gillingham after leaving Shrewsbury Town.
Former Shrewsbury Town midfielder Nick Freeman has joined League Two rivals Gillingham.
Freeman was released by Shrewsbury at the end of his short-term deal this summer after making 16 appearances during the second half of last season.

The 30-year-old scored once for Salop following his arrival in January and has now completed a free transfer to Gillingham after a trial period with the club.
The move reunites Freeman with former Shrewsbury boss Gareth Ainsworth, having previously played under him at Wycombe Wanderers.
Freeman, who has also represented Stevenage in the Football League, featured for the Gills in pre-season friendlies against Charlton Athletic and Millwall after initially turning out for Dover Athletic earlier in the summer.
He could now come up against his former club during the upcoming League Two campaign, with Shrewsbury set to host Gillingham on October 31 before making the return trip to Priestfield on January 30.
Speaking after completing the move, Freeman said: “I am delighted to be here and get going. It's a great group of lads and staff.
“I have played for the gaffer before and he always creates a really positive environment for the lads. It was a no-brainer to be honest.”
