As it happened: Shrewsbury Town suffer defeat to West Brom

Good afternoon from the Croud Meadow, where Shrewsbury Town welcome Championship opposition in the form of West Brom.

Salop are looking to make it three pre-season wins in a row while maintaining their impressive defensive record in this summer’s friendlies.

Gavin Cowan’s side have kept a clean sheet in each of their outings so far, including last Tuesday’s 1-0 victory over Everton Under-21s.

Town face a strong West Brom outfit, who will be backed by thousands of travelling supporters. The Baggies have brought a split squad to Shropshire, with the other half having featured in a behind-closed-doors friendly against Notts County earlier today.
