Recent signing Birch went off after just 10 minutes of last night's game with a hamstring injury and is now a big doubt for Saturday's UniBond League trip to Matlock.

Wing-back Vaughan limped off with a knee injury, though Smith is hopeful he will make a full recovery by the weekend.
"Both of them will have treatment at training tomorrow night and we'll assess what we've got then," said boss Rob Smith."Birchy looks doubtful but I think Vaughany will be okay. Matlock have got a couple of good wide lads, so it's important he is able to play."
Striker Tyrone Barnett led the way in last night's Central Conference match with a hat-trick, while Carl Rodgers and Jimmy Turner both got two and Justin Marsden netted one.
Telford fielded a strong side, with Smith and assistant Larry Chambers looking for a vast improvement on the disappointing performance they saw in Saturday's 0-0 draw with Ashton.
And the Telford chief said: "I think the players responded in the right manner.
"I don't think it was a strong Bromsgrove team but it was a good result.
"Tyrone did well and I understand he could have had a lot more as well. I'm pleased for him to get a few goals and he's definitely got something."
Smith missed last night's game, instead taking in Matlock's 3-2 win over Buxton after extra-time in the Derbyshire Senior Cup.
And he saw enough to know the Bucks are in for a tough game on Saturday.
"They've got two quality front players and they're strong all round," he said.
"Fixture congestion may just scupper their chances a little bit but, on their day, they're as good as anything in this league."
