AFC Telford United 1-0 Walsall: Bucks emerge with pre-season victory
Kevin Wilkin’s side emerged with victory against Walsall at Bucks Head.
AFC Telford United continued their pre-season preparations with a 1-0 victory over League Two side Walsall.
Walsall controlled the opening stages, as Albert Adomah hit the post with a free-kick and Lewis Simper blazed another chance over the crossbar.
But Telford seized their first attack of the game when one of the trialists drove a low finish into the far bottom corner on the half-hour mark.
Both teams made a raft of changes in a second half, which was ultimately bereft of goalmouth action.
Aaron Pressley headed over the Saddlers’ best chance at the back post, before Orrin Pendley’s effort from inside his own half forced Jenson Kilroy into action.
Next, Tamworth host Tamworth at Bucks Head on Saturday next week.
