"Able to be aggressive" - Rob Edwards on Wolves' summer plans amid squad rebuild
Rob Edwards believes the sales of Jorgen Strand Larsen, Emmanuel Agbadou and Jhon Arias will allow Wolves to be more 'aggressive' in the summer window as they rebuild their squad.
Larsen left for Crystal Palace on deadline day in a deal rising to £48million, while Agbadou is completing a move to Besiktas for £17.5million and Arias is returning to Brazil to join Palmeiras for £21.5million.
It means Wolves have generated up to £87million by letting the trio go, while they have only made one permanent signing in Adam Armstrong for £7million, rising to £9million.
Edwards believes doing this business early will put Wolves in a healthy position to rebuild the squad quickly in the summer following their expected relegation to the Championship.
"There's not been numbers spoken about right now or anything like that and I don't think there's needed to be," Edwards said when asked about his summer budget.
"But what I think it allows us to do is act decisively and quicker than maybe we would have been able to do before.
"I think that's really, really important for us."
