Topless suspect rugby tackled by West Mercia police officer after trying to escape over police car bonnet
They responded quickly, located the individual and took action to safely bring the situation under control.
Body-cam footage shows the moment an officer went flying through the air to rugby tackle a shirtless suspect who tried to escape by jumping over a police car bonnet.
West Mercia Police officers were called to a Sainsbury's supermarket in Malvern, earlier this week to reports of a man behaving aggressively in public.
The suspect is told by one cop "I need you to be compliant with me" as he is informed he's wanted on suspicion of a section four public order offence.
The man replies "no no no no" before making a run for it across a car park before vaulting over the bonnet of a parked up squad car.
A police officer giving chase then leaps through the air and over the bonnet to tackle the suspect to the ground.

The yob can be heard screaming: "Wait, wait. You f**king tell me what you're f**king doing."
The officer replies: "We're arresting you."
As he is being escorted to a police van, the man, now with a bloody elbow, continues to plead with officers: "Please let me off for five seconds.
"I'm not going to run. Please just five seconds."
The unsympathetic offices tell him "get in" and the man was arrested on suspicion of a public order offence.
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said: "Earlier this week, officers in Malvern were called to a report of a man behaving aggressively in a public place.
"They responded quickly, located the individual and took action to safely bring the situation under control.
"A man was subsequently arrested on suspicion of a public order offence.
"Our officers work every day to defuse potentially volatile situations, protect the public and keep our communities safe."
