Three arrests after £2k worth of perfume and delivery van stolen in West Midlands

Two men aged 22 and 35, and a woman aged 22, were arrested on suspicion of theft.

Three people have been arrested after perfumes from Boots in Kidderminster were stolen and a delivery van in Shrewsbury was taken.

At around 12.45pm yesterday (27 October) officers were called to a theft at the Boots store at Weavers Wharf in Kidderminster.

Fragrances with an estimated value of around £2,000 were taken. The suspects had already left the scene when police arrived.

At 4.01pm on the same day a member of the public contacted police to say a delivery driver's van had been taken from Trinity Way in Shrewsbury.

Two men aged 22 and 35, and a woman aged 22, were arrested on suspicion of theft.

All three remain in police custody as enquiries continues.

Sergeant Amanda Hayward said: "This was a brazen theft that saw around £2,000 worth of fragrances stolen from a store in Kidderminster before those involved travelled on, and were linked to the theft of a delivery van in Shrewsbury later the same day.

"Thanks to the swift response of our Roads Policing Unit and local response officers, the stolen van was quickly located and three people were promptly arrested.

“Their rapid actions meant we were able to ensure those suspected of being involved in the two incidents were taken into custody."
