Newly elected Senedd Members will be invited to Rhayader Town Council meeting

The newly elected Senedd Members for Brycheiniog Tawe Nedd will be invited to a Rhayader Town Council meeting later in the year.

The town council wrote to all six of the Senedd Members to congratulate them on being elected after the May elections.

At the June meeting, town clerk Julie Stephens said five of them had responded already and had said they would like to meet with the council.

The members include three Reform UK Senedd Members James Evans, Iain McIntosh and David Mills, two Plaid Cymru members Sioned Williams and Beca Phillips and one Liberal Democrat Jane Dodds.

Members said as there are three Reform UK and two Plaid Cymru members they should come to one meeting each.

Mrs Stephens said when they congratulated them, the council mentioned some of the issues they are concerned with such as the future of the leisure centre, healthcare provision and other issues and that is what they should raise at any meeting.

The council agreed to try and set up meetings with the Senedd Members in September.
