Despite the scrambling of the air and land ambulance, the woman in George Street in Alport was declared "deceased at the scene".

A spokesperson for WMAS said: "We were called at 12.38pm to a medical emergency at a private address on George Street, Alport in Whitchurch.

"One ambulance and the Midland Air Ambulance from Cosford attended the scene. Upon arrival we found a woman.
