Former church appears in latest Halls auction
Religious building joins residential conversions and an old poultry farm in the auctioneer's lots
Homes ready for modernisation, an old church and a former poultry farm are all due to appear at an auction later this week.
Auction house Halls has assembled 21 lots for the latest in its series of property and land auctions.
Residential opportunities requiring improvement include detached house The Glyn at Frochas in Welshpool and Tyn y Ddol at Llangynog, another detached home with mountain views.
The Smithy at Brockton, near Shrewsbury, is a two-bedroom cottage standing in gardens of approximately 0.65 acres, guided at £175,000 to £200,000.

Another distinctive lot is the grade II listed former Church of St Mary Magdalene at Tallarn Green, near Malpas.
It has a guide price of up to £100,000 and retains a wealth of original features and comes with gardens and a separate grass paddock.
Halls said the former church offered potential for alternative uses, particularly residential conversion.
Further afield in the region is Beechcliffe Poultry Farm at Knowl Wall Beech, near Stoke-on-Trent.
Guided at £80,000 to £100,000, the former poultry farm extends to around 2.32 acres and includes around 14,300 sq ft of buildings in varying states of repair.
The buildings include a general agricultural building, two grain stores, an inspection pit, stables, greenhouses and nine poultry sheds among others.
The auction will also have a broad range of residential projects across Shropshire including houses in Wem, Oswestry and Prees while a terrace of eight garages in Hodnet, near Market Drayton, is guided at £25,000 to £35,000.
The land lots include around 11.16 acres of mixed broadleaf woodland, including two disused limekilns, at Llawnt near Oswestry, and 1.58 acres of woodland and amenity land formerly part of Y Gribyn, in Caersws.
The auction takes place at Halls Holdings House, in Shrewsbury, on July 24 from 2pm
