Five nights of road closures scheduled for Ludlow resurfacing work

The work will take place overnight

There will be a lengthy overnight diversion for resurfacing work due to take place in Ludlow later this month.

Shropshire Council has confirmed that Parys Road in Ludlow will be resurfaced overnight from September 21 to 26 as part of Shropshire Council’s 2026/27 resurfacing programme.

Work will be carried out from 8pm to 6am each night.

During the work a full road closure will be in place but access to the work areas will be maintained - when safe - for residents living within the closure, and businesses, as well as pedestrians, dismounted cyclists, horse riders, and emergency vehicles on blue lights.

For all other traffic a signed diversion will be place.

Ahead of the work people are also being asked not to park vehicles on the road while the resurfacing is being carried out.
