East Midlands Airport issues alert to passengers on liquid limit rule amid 'start of summer season'
East Midlands Airport has issued an alert to passengers on liquid limit rules.
East Midlands Airport has issued a message to passengers reminding them of liquid limit rules that are still in place at the airport.
In a post on Facebook the airport reminded passengers that the 100ml liquid limit is still in force.
It said: “Flying with us soon?
“When heading through security, all liquids must be under 100ml.
“Liquids and large electricals can be left inside your bag”.

The airport has issued the reminder as it may become confusing as some airports in the UK have scrapped the 100ml limit.
For example, Birmingham Airport no longer requires liquids to be under 100ml.
New CT scanners have been installed meaning that passengers can now pack containers with up to two litres of liquid in their hand luggage and keep them inside their bag.
Laptops and tablets can stay inside your hand luggage too.
Refillable metal or ‘double walled’ or vacuum containers still need to be emptied, but they can be refilled at free water stations once you’re through security.
Listed below are UK airports that have scrapped the 100ml liquid rule.

The alert from East Midlands Airport comes as it is ready to welcome almost 150,000 customers over the Easter break, heading to around 70 popular destinations in Europe and north Africa.
East Midlands Airport’s Managing Director, Steve Griffiths, said: “The Easter holidays signal the start of our summer season and are the first big getaway of the year.
“We continue to serve popular holiday destinations in Europe and beyond and remain the airport of choice for millions of people from around the region every year.”
