Courteeners confirmed for Live at Ludlow Castle concerts

The band will be joined by indie favourites The Coral

The latest act for next year’s Ludlow Castle concerts has been confirmed.

Beloved British indie rock outfit Courteeners will be one of the headliners playing the 2027 series of concerns.

A statement from the event promoters, Futuresound said: “Since the release of their landmark debut album St. Jude in 2008, Courteeners have quietly and confidently become one of the biggest bands in Britain. Their seven acclaimed studio albums across a 20 year career include stadium worthy anthems like ‘Not Nineteen Forever’, ‘Are You in Love With A Notion?’, ‘Modern Love’ and ‘The 17th’.

“The band have achieved consistent commercial success with more than one million album sales in the UK alone and St. Jude made history in 2023, reaching number one in the UK Album Charts almost 15 years after its release; the longest span on record.

“Having cultivated a huge and loyal grassroots following across the country, Courteeners live shows are massive collective celebrations where their songs become a communal experience between band and fans alike; a shared love of real music bringing people together in their thousands.”

Courteeners will be joined in the castle grounds by very special guests, Merseyside indie icons The Coral.

Since their emergence in the early 2000s, The Coral have played a pivotal role in redefining British guitar music with tracks like the immortal indie anthems like ‘Dreaming of You’, ‘In The Morning’ and ‘Pass It On’ featured across 13 studio albums, from their Mercury Award-nominated self-titled 2002 debut to this year’s critically acclaimed surprise release 388.

Formed in 2021 by a group of schoolmates, emerging indie rock band The Guest List also features on the line-up.

Gaining a following on social media thanks to the popularity of covers filmed in their home garage, they have since released their own music, including their first EP, "When The Lights Are Out," in 2025, followed by their debut album, "Something Real," in August.

Since its debut in 2023, Live at Ludlow Castle has welcomed thousands of people.

This summer’s series included eight events with the likes of Snow Patrol, Paul Weller, The Human League, Tom Grennan, The Streets, Rick Astley, Richard Ashcroft and Scissor Sisters, Corinne Bailey Rae, Miles Kane, The Lightning Seeds, Heather Small and more.

Set to enter its fifth season the event sees the Courtneeners join recently announced headliners McFly, Becky Hill, UB40 ft. Ali Campbell and Paul Heaton in Ludlow next summer, with more acts still to be shared.
