Brutal Shrewsbury DPD murder to feature in documentary series
It’s been almost three years since the delivery driver was ambushed in broad daylight
A behind the scenes look at the investigation into the horrific murder of a 23-year-old delivery driver in Shrewsbury will return to screens in a BBC television series next week.
Aurman Singh died in August 2023 after being attacked by a gang of men brandishing an arsenal of weapons, including an axe, wooden stave, golf club and a machete.
The 23-year-old was working as a delivery driver when he was attacked by the gang on Berwick Avenue in Shrewsbury.

Last year, the brutal killing was one of three murder cases explored in the second series of the BBC’s Murder 24/7 that saw a film crew follow West Mercia Police.
The episodes concluded with the sentencing of five men in relation to the killing - but two further killers were later convicted of murder after a separate trial in March 2025.
Now, Murder 24/7’s third series will feature the detective’s hunt for the remaining suspects, which lead the crimefighters to two fugitives hiding in plain sight in Austria.
Season three of Murder 24/7 starts with the first two-part episode on Tuesday, July 21 and Wednesday 22 on BBC One, covering the 2024 murder of 49-year-old Joanne Samak in Droitwich Spa.
‘DPD Murder Part 4: Killers on the Run’ is set for broadcast on Tuesday, July 28 at 9pm and will be available to view on iPlayer.
