Ludlow Airbnb secures rare award after 100th consecutive five-star review

Guests are greeted by a welcome pack including homemade jams and marmalades and fresh eggs.

The owners of a Shropshire Airbnb property are celebrating after receiving a rare award for 100 consecutive five-star reviews.

Roy, Lois and Lydia Thwaites said they were delighted to have achieved the accolade thanks to the positive reviews from guests who have stayed in their Airbnb at the Apartment Gallery on Broad Street, Ludlow.

The apartment, a contemporary home within an historic Georgian townhouse, offers guests an “immersive experience in the heart of Ludlow”. It was renovated in 2022, is located centrally, and is a two-minute walk to the town centre or river.

It features artwork, ceramics, and original historical documents all linked to the town, as well as vintage furniture made just 500 yards away by Arthur and Garth Reynolds.

A welcome pack for guests includes Ludlow produce supplemented by Lois’s homemade jams and marmalades, and fresh eggs from Lydia’s hens.

The property is described as private with a beautiful rear courtyard garden, together with complimentary parking.

Roy said: “Ludlow is a very special town and our declared aim is to provide a very special place to stay from which to enjoy it. We are so pleased this appears to be appreciated from the reviews we have received.”

The 100th review from ‘Josephine’ said: “This may be the 100th review, all five stars. I hope so because it would be lovely to celebrate the well-deserved accolade.

“The thoughtful generous treats - delicious goodies and the fresh flowers.

“Most of all the huge space, and lovely furniture.

“We had a wonderful time in Ludlow - it’s so convenient in the best street in Ludlow yet completely quiet. Hope to be back again soon.”
