7 pictures reveal flood damage at a medical practice in Bridgnorth
The practice said it hopes to be able to reopen the building next summer
Bosses have revealed when they expect a town’s medical practice to reopen after huge flood damage earlier this year.

Bridgnorth Medical Practice has been closed since the incident in July.

In the wake of the flood the NHS said the building would not be able to provide services “for several months”.

The practice has now issued an update on the progress of repairing the damage along with pictures showing the extent of the issues.

In a post online it said all drying equipment has been removed from the building and there are hopes it will be ready to reopen next summer.

It said: “We are pleased to confirm that the first phase of drying out the building has now been completed, and all dehumidifiers and drying equipment have been removed from the practice.
“This marks an important milestone in the recovery process, and we are now looking forward to the next phase of works as we continue working towards reopening our doors.

“We are currently hopeful that Bridgnorth Medical Practice will reopen in Summer 2027.”
The post added: “We appreciate that the closure has caused significant disruption for our patients and staff, and we would like to thank everyone for their continued patience and understanding.”

During the closure GP services are being provided from space at Bridgnorth Community Hospital, located opposite the practice on the Old Smithfield Road, while The Highley Medical Centre building is also open with extended capacity.
