Got to have that extra space for more people? Luckily, there are plenty of options around.

A seven-seater car is a very handy thing to have. Whether you’ve got a large family or often take bigger groups from A to B, having that seven-seater capacity can prove to be extremely useful.

The good news is that there have never been more options in the seven-seater market, but how do you choose the right one? Luckily, we’ve picked out the best – so let’s take a look.

Volvo EX90

Like the XC90, the EX90 has loads of space inside and flexible seating that can be easily raised or lowered. The EX90 also gets a decent amount of range, with around 370 miles coming from big-battery versions.

Hyundai Ioniq 9

On the outside, the Ioniq 9 is hard to miss while underneath a large battery unlocks a range of up to 385 miles.

Kia PV5

The best part about the PV5 is that because of its van design, it offers acres of headroom and loads of legroom for everyone aboard. As with all Kia cars, it’s got loads of standard equipment too.

Volkswagen Multivan

That means that the Multivan is more car-like to drive, too, but still gets acres of space and a very practical interior with lots of storage options.

Audi Q7

Underneath, the new Q7 actually gets quite a traditional engine setup with a 3.0-litre turbocharged diesel powering things. The best news is, however, that the Q7 is just as practical and usefully sized as ever.

Land Rover Defender

You’ll need to opt for the 110 model if you want seven seats – the smaller 90 only has five – while the larger 130 car has space for eight if you need even more room.

Jaecoo 8

As we’ve come to expect from Jaecoo, the 8 is absolutely loaded with features, including dual 12.3-inch displays, a panoramic sunroof and even ventilated front seats.

BYD Ti 7

Inside, there’s a spacious cabin and a large 15.6-inch infotainment system. Plus, the Ti 7 gets vehicle-to-load technology, which means you can use the car’s on-board electricity supply to power domestic appliances, such as fans or even air pumps.
