Indie folk singer-songwriter Ivan Moult returns to Presteigne to perform his most personal work yet – Stood Out In The Storm

He will play at the Assembly Rooms in Presteigne on Saturday, February 28 from 8pm with doors open at 7.30pm.

He will be supported by Jessica Rising and Jakey Boy Hughes.

Released in November 2025, the new album follows the acclaimed Songs From Severn Grove (2023), which earned praise for its warmth, intricacy and timeless song-writing.

While that record captured renewal and early fatherhood, this new collection takes a braver and more vulnerable step as it was written in the aftermath of a personal crisis and traces a gradual journey toward healing.

Audiences can expect the intimate, carefully crafted sound Ivan is known for – a seamless blend of 60s/70s folk and blues shaped by influences such as John Martyn, Terry Reid and Ry Cooder.

Now performed with a band featuring musicians from Gruff Rhys (Super Furry Animals) and Melin Melyn – bringing the new record to life with soul toned guitars, shuffling drums and electric bass with atmospheric pedal steel bringing depth and support to Ivan’s captivating and ethereal vocals.

Having earned support from Guy Garvey and Huw Stephens on BBC Radio 6 Music, BBC Radio Wales and KLOF, and shared stages with This Is The Kit, Becca Mancari and Willy Mason, Ivan brings a seasoned presence to the stage.

Join him and his band for a special, intimate performance in Presteigne.

Tickets are £15 for adults and £10 for under 25s and they are available at The Workhouse Gallery, Presteigne or online at: https://wegottickets.com/event/682459
