Shrewsbury design agency welcomes trio of new hires

The designers bring a range of experience to Source which works with clients such as Tyrell's Crisps and Severn Hospice

A branding and design agency has boosted its team with three new hires.

Shrewsbury-based Source has hired designers Harry Woodhouse, Lewis Mottram and Jules O'Connor.

The agency, which was founded in 1991, works with local and national businesses to build brands, visual identities and marketing and digital campaigns.

It also works in product packaging design and counts Tyrrell's Crisps, Severn Hospice, Telford College and Historic England among its clients.

Mr Woodhouse is a designer who has worked for several other design agencies while Mr Mottram is a junior designer who graduated from Liverpool John Moores University last year.

Senior designer Ms O'Connor is the firm's newest recruit who brings experience of both agency and in-house roles, including most recently with Walsall-based domestic emergency firm HomeServe UK.

Director Paula Savage said: "Professional design has never been more important for businesses to stand out from competitors.

"There are so many automated and AI tools available for anyone to create low-quality, generic designs that professional design creates more competitive advantage and value than ever before.

"Now with our three new designers on-board, we are perfectly placed to continue to help clients solve branding, packaging and important design problems quickly and with maximum effect."

Ms O'Connor added: "Having worked in the creative industry for over 12 years, one thing has remained constant - there's never a dull moment.

"With trends, technology and tools constantly evolving, staying curious, sharp and ahead is what keeps my passion for creativity alive."
