Remote working mortgage adviser opens first-ever office in former Shrewsbury hair salon

A mortgage adviser and insurance firm has opened its first-ever office in Shrewsbury town centre.

Hilltop Mortgage Solutions has launched the base in a former hair salon in Shoplatch after the team previously worked from home.

The company is run by husband and wife team Adrian and Helen Newling-Goode and it has seven staff.

It was founded five years ago and can offer domestic and commercial mortgages from more than 100 different lenders as well as protection insurance such as life and critical illness cover.

Mrs Newling-Goode said: "We wanted to use our experience to help people in our local area navigate what can often be one of the biggest financial decisions of their lives.

"We understand how important buying a home is and we work hard to support our clients throughout the journey.

"Adrian is originally from Shropshire and we moved to Shrewsbury three years ago so opening our own office in the town felt like a natural next step for us.

"We chose our new premises on Shoplatch because we wanted to make professional mortgage advice more accessible to the local community.

"With many high-street banks closing branches and reducing their physical presence, we feel it's more important than ever that people have somewhere they can turn to for face-to-face mortgage advice and support.

"This was a real motivation behind opening our office as we believe people still value being able to sit down with someone, talk through their options and receive advice tailored to their individual needs.

"Our visible high-street location gives people the opportunity to pop in, meet our team and find out how we can help, whether they're just starting to think about buying a home or reviewing their existing mortgage.

"We're really excited about this next chapter for Hilltop and look forward to welcoming both existing and new clients into our new office."
