Hospital's garden to host business networking event
Law firm has chosen spot in Oswestry to provide a different background to the usual networking events
A Shropshire law firm is holding a business networking event with a difference next month by welcoming people to a tranquil garden.
Lanyon Bowdler in Shrewsbury will be hosting the free event in Horatio's Garden which forms part of the Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital near Oswestry.
The restorative garden, which was designed by Gardeners' Question Time panellist Bunny Guinness, aims to bring calmness to people after suffering a spinal injury at the hospital's Midland Centre for Spinal Injuries.
The event will include a 20-minute tour of the garden.
Dawn Humphries, head of personal injury at Lanyon Bowdler, said: "We are always keen to bring people together to meet, chat and make new friends while also renewing old acquaintances.
"Lanyon Bowdler is a corporate friend of Horatio's Garden and the firm has raised funds for the project over the years so I am really looking forward to spending some time in the garden to see how it provides support to patients.

"Attendees will have the chance to explore and ask head gardener Alex plenty of questions. Networking is an extremely important activity and one we are always keen to promote.
"Our Horatio's Garden event will be particularly special due to the peaceful setting - a welcome change from the normal surroundings that usually host such occasions."
The event runs for two hours from 8.30am on October 15 and places must be booked in advance via Eventbrite.
