Estate agency marks record lettings year with £125,000 investment

Firm has created new space at Bridgnorth office to support new lettings department

An independent estate agency has invested £125,000 in its Shropshire office following a record year for lettings activity.

Berriman Eaton, which now manages more than 500 rental properties across its network, has expanded its Whitburn Street premises in Bridgnorth, transforming neighbouring space into a dedicated lettings department.

It says the move comes as activity in the region has increased by more than 50 per cent in the past year, driven by rising demand for homes in Bridgnorth and the surrounding rural areas, as well as other towns such as Newport and Telford.

The new lettings department will be led by Harry Brueton who has been promoted to head-up the operation, having joined the company in 2023.

The firm also has offices in Tettenhall and Wombourne.

Berriman Eaton's managing director Andy Roberts said: "Our lettings department has achieved fantastic growth over the past five years as landlords turn to trusted agents during these uncertain times.

"Shropshire is a real hotspot for us. The investment in a dedicated Bridgnorth lettings department reinforces our commitment to expansion in the area and, importantly, delivering a quality service on the doorstep."

Mr Brueton added: "Clients in the area can now visit the office in Whitburn Street to discuss the new legislation that has just come into force or arrange a confidential meeting to review their portfolio and any problems they may be experiencing.

"The new department has made a strong start, accounting for 30 per cent of all agreed lettings in the Bridgnorth area since the office opened, while also leading on a significant share of new instructions."
