Continental market coming to Oswestry

Traders from across Europe will set up their stalls in a market town next month.

A continental market will be held in Oswestry on September 1 and 2.

Traders from several European countries will be selling their wares in Cross Street and Bailey Street.

There will be produce and crafts from countries including Germany, Poland, France, England, Turkey and Italy.

Markets manager, Mr David Clough, said: "The travelling traders will be selling a wide variety of unique and interesting products, including: Top of the range French saucissons and spicy Spanish chorizo/

There will be Italian leather belts, real Greek Olives and Turkish Delight from, of course, Turkey.

Traditional Chimney Cakes will come from Hungary and jewellery from Poland. Other items on sale include cheese, black pudding, Baklava, crepes, mustards, pashminas and scarves and breads and pastries.

The market will run each day from 10am -5pm.
