Photos snap up big prizes in competition

These are the winning images from Bridgnorth Camera Club's annual cup competition.

Ken Hudson, from Great Barr in Birmingham, judged the competition which took place on March 23.

Winner of the Curwen Cup for monochrome prints was John Burrows with Wedding in the Square, taken while on holiday in St Mark's Square, in Venice.

The Doctor Returns by Hugh Stanton took the Bernard Danks Cup for creative projected images

The Tomkins Cup for projected images was won by Alan Gwilt with Gettysburg Revisited – taken at the Spectchley Park, in Worcester, at a living history weekend last year.

The Bernard Danks Cup for creative projected images was won by Hugh Stanton with The Doctor Returns.

Bridgnorth Camera Club has been running since 1952 and holds regular competitions, meetings and outings.

The club meets every Thursday night at 7.30pm at Low Town Community Hall, Severn Street, Bridgnorth. It is affiliated with the Photographic Alliance Of Great Britain through the Midland Counties Photographic Federation.

Visitors are welcome at a cost of £3.50, which includes light refreshment and further information is available on the club's website bridgnorthcameraclub.org.uk

Anybody interested in seeing more photographs by club members can attend a free exhibition at The Guildhall, in Much Wenlock, from May 6 to 29 on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays.
