X Factor's Lucy Spraggan in Birmingham

The singer-songwriter, who was an X Factor finalist, has gone on to become one of the more intriguing performers on the circuit, following her 2012 TV appearance.

Lucy released a new album, I Hope You Don't Mind Me Writing, in January and it peaked just outside the top 10.

"I feel good about it. I got rid of all expectation, weirdly; just releasing it and not stressing too much. I'm trying to be a bit more calm about stuff."

Lucy married her partner, Georgina Gordon, last summer. She's an LGBT icon.

She plays the O2 Institute, Birmingham, next Thursday, March 9.
