Flyer Live 2016 saw crowds of people descend on Telford's International Centre to visit representatives of flying schools from around the country, as well as exhibitors with the latest microlights, gliders, gyrocopters, light aircraft, models and paramotors.

The event, which is organised by the publisher behind Flyer magazine, also included a series of speeches and masterclasses from experts on aviation.

Flyer columnist Matt Dearndon gave a speech at the event sharing what it's like to fly in Papua, Indonesia, "the world's last frontier".

He tweeted: "Great couple of days at the Flyer Live show! It was really nice to have lots of people asking me how to get into aviation and bush flying."

Other talks during the show highlighted aviation issues, including the weather, new regulations, traffic and changes to radio laws.

There was also a brief look at airship history and technology, with videos and pictures of the most recent tests of Airlander, a hybrid between airships and technology from planes and helicopters.

Masterclasses were given by Paul Catanach on single pilot crew resource management, YouTuber Ben Cornwell on making the perfect aviation videos and Keith Vinning on traffic awareness system PilotAware.

As well as keynote speakers, a number of major aviation companies travelled to Flyer Live.

Organiser Ian Seager said that the town was chosen to stage the show for its "great central location" and for being close to all transport links.
