Bullet For My Valentine set to headline Birmingham's O2 Academy on Wednesday

It was a debut album that helped them break into the mainstream.

Welsh rockers Bullet For My Valentine made an immediate mark 10 years ago with the release of The Poison.

And now the band are on the road to perform that record in full, with a show planned for Birmingham's O2 Academy on Wednesday.

It follows a huge tour of the USA and South America, alongside Slipknot, and a recent 19-date tour across the UK and Ireland, taking in towns not traditionally served by bands that have sold over 10 million records.

Those intense, small shows reconnected the band with their core audience and reinvigorated them. It was also the first time UK and Irish fans had the chance to see the new bassist Jamie Mathias integrated in to the line-up.
