Much Wenlock's Guildhall will be investigated by Paranormal Friends – and brave members of the public can attempt to contact the spirit world too.

The Guildhall is made up of a former court room and a council chamber, with a previous visit by this paranormal group throwing up interesting and spooky results.

Paranormal Friends co-founder Chris Morris said

: "I have known the Guildhall most of my life and was thrilled to investigate it for the first time last year and like the rest of our team, I am really excited to be going back again."

The court room at the Guildhall was active until 1985 having been built in 1540. It regularly held four types of court – petty sessions and quarter sessions, a bailiff's court and the court leet or manorial court.

The quarter sessions were held under a recorder, and within the first year, two felons had been sentenced to be hanged on the Wenlock Edge.

The investigation takes place on January 21 between 9pm and 2am.

Tickets cost £25 and can be booked by visiting paranormalfriends.co.uk/book
