Ruby Wax in Oswestry mindfulness event
Comedienne and writer Ruby Wax will be coming to the county in the new year, as part of a rescheduled event that was cancelled earlier this year.
The renowned comic will be hosting 'An Evening of Mindfulness' in conjunction with Oswestry's Booka Bookshop on January 9 at the Lion Quays Hotel near Oswestry.
It comes after Wax was due to launch Oswestry LitFest earlier this year at The Dining Rooms in Oswestry but had to postpone due to personal reasons.
Wax, a mental health campaigner, was due to address a sold-out audience about her then newly released book 'A Mindfulness Guide for the Frazzled'.
Announcing the news via their Facebook page, Booka posted: "We're excited to announce that our first event of 2017 will be with Ruby Wax!
"Join Ruby for 'An Evening of Mindfulness' on January 9 at The Lion Quays Hotel, Oswestry.
"Full details on our website with tickets available now through the shop and online via Eventbrite.
"So start 2017 with a strong mind and a positive outlook – don't miss this opportunity to see and meet Ruby!"
The event will include a talk from Wax, an audience question and answer session and discussion, followed by book signing. The event starts at 7.30pm prompt. Doors will open at 6.45pm.
